KRISTALLEN
KLANKSCHALEN - CRYSTAL BOWL - CHRYSTAL BOWL - QUARTZ BOWL |
||||||||||
|
Our
Crystal Singing bowls are made from pure powdered quartz crystals which
are heated to several thousand degrees. The heating integrates the individual
particles of the quartz powder and a bowl is formed. They are then individually
tuned to a specific musical note. The size of the bowl affects the pitch:
a small bowl produces a much higher pitched note than the note produced
by a large bowl. In general higher pitches have an uplifting, cleansing
effect whilst lower pitches tend to be more relaxing and grounding.
We all respond differently to particular sounds, and so the effect on
individuals of the same bowl can be quite different. It is best for you and anyone in the proximity of the bowl if you don't play it for longer than 15 - 20 minutes at a stretch. A 15 minute break is recommended - this is to ensure that the energy field is not overloaded with energy and everyone has a chance to assimilate the changes. Players often forget that they are also receiving an energy treatment! Always have the highest intention in your mind at the outset of playing as the bowl becomes an extension of you while you play it. You may request a bowl tuned to a particular chakra. Smaller crystal bowls have a high tone and octave. Larger ones have a deeper tone and lower octave.
About notes: When you order any note bowl you may receive a flat or a sharp in that note.
On rare occasions and not always for any apparent reason quartz bowls have been known to shatter while they are being played. All quartz bowls are susceptible to this. However there are steps that you can take to minimise the risk of it happening to you.
All our bowls are supplied with a ring and a playing stick. |

REGENSTOK
- RAINSTICK - REGENMAKER - RAINMAKER - BATON DE PLUIE
|
|
|
"The
Quisca Cactus, which provides the magical body for the rainstick, grows
in the Atakama desert at the foothills of the Andes. These cactus live
in forests and hold water while they are alive. After they have completed
their life cycle, their body dries out and can be used as this magical
instrument. The spines are removed, turned around and inserted into
the cactus which is then filled with pebbles of different sizes. If
you turn the cactus instrument around the pebbles flow over the spines
at different speeds, creating the wonderful sound of rain."

BULLROARER
- SNORREBOT - SNORBOT - BUSH TELEPHONE
|
|
|

SPRING
DRUM
|
|
|
The Spring Drums sound is generated by moving the drum (coil facing downwards) so the vibrations of the spring are transmitted through to the head. The almost indescribable and musically interesting sound has been described as a cross between a cuica, a sheet of thunder, a suspended cymbal roll, and the roar of a lion. To play it simply grasp the body of the instrument in one hand and shake it with a twisting motion, thus allowing the spring to vibrate. You can create a variety of effects by placing the opposite hand over the top and by scraping the spring or striking the spring while it is in motion. |

The "Arco del Duende" (the bow of the little people) is an instrument created by Bolivian shaman Don Agustin Rivas Vasquez from a vision he received in an Ayahuasca ceremony. By placing one's mouth at the end-piece and plucking the strings, one can create incredible sounds and overtones which are wonderful for journeying and meditating, as well as healing. Similar to Jew's harp, the mouth and then the whole body becomes the resonating box for the instrument, allowing the player to vibrate together with spirits in vision-states, or with a client in a healing session. This instrument is used to invoke spirits by "seducing" them with the beautiful melodies, and providing a bridge of sound (vibration) between this world and other worlds. Don Agustin uses it with his intention to perform spiritual surgery and banish darkness. Length 78 cm. Examples of tuning: C/F/C/F - C/F/C/Eb - A/D/A/C |
